About Dr. Jones
Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, specializing in the Cognitive Science of Teaching and Learning. She currently serves on the faculty at UC San Diego, teaching undergraduate and graduate bilingual education courses.
Her research includes interview research, both in the United States and abroad, with Deaf Chinese adults exploring their school and literacy experiences — with a broader focus on visual language acquisition, reading development in foreign scripts, and cross-linguistic studies among deaf populations.
