VLA's interpreting and transliterating service operates across diverse settings: in college settings, at high-risk medical appointments, for high profile political events, at concerts, plays, and musicals, and for online office staff meetings.
Each of these examples can be highly demanding, both physically and cognitively. Many require preparation time and even two or more service providers.
Charges for SLI | CLT Services
How charges work.
No flat rates are published; pricing is quote-based. Details provided on the request form are used to determine an appropriate charge for the particular interpreting or transliterating request, accounting for:
- The pace and profile of the work
- Risk inherent to the request
- The duration of the need
- Preparation time
- The amount of time between the request and the service need
- Whether more than one service provider is required
Confirmation & terms
Services proceed only after the requester agrees to VLA billing information and service terms, and the client receives written confirmation from VLA that interpreters and/or transliterators are available for the assignment.
